Tropicola is guitar led pop music heavily informed by rare groove jazz, latin, soul and r&b. Tropicola is a love of break beats, bossa, Blossom Dearie, private press weirdos and everyone in-between. Tropicola is songwriting through the lens of obsessive record collecting and Dj’ing around Los Angeles and NYC for many years, and then bringing it all back home to the country. Tropicola is an attempt to craft melodies sweet as a Sunday in June and warm as coming home to someone you love.
